PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to enhance cooking efficiency and food taste with high output by continuously changing high voltage in an analog type, to be easily handled and installed in a small size, and to adjust output by an inverter unit. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven is composed of a power supply unit(7) supplying normal alternating power, a rectifying and smoothing unit(8) rectifying and smoothing power from the power supply unit, a high voltage transformer(24) generating high voltage by the normal alternating power, and a magnetron(25) generating electromagnetic waves by high voltage from the high voltage transformer. Further, the microwave oven contains a signal generating unit(26) inputting a control signal, an inverter unit(30) converting rectified and smoothed direct current power and a control signal from the signal generating unit, to high frequency voltage between the first and the second coil of the high voltage transformer, and a control unit(40). The control unit intercepts the control signal to the inverter unit when the control signal is out of a certain limit. The control signal is divided and each input to a D/A converter(2) and an on-off and soft-start unit(3). In the D/A converter, The control signal goes through a detecting unit(5), an output control unit(4), an oscillation unit(21), the inverter unit, the first coil and the second coil, for generating electromagnetic waves of the magnetron. In this process, the control signal is fed back for a precision control and an output adjustment. A circuit is protected without the trouble of the control signal and a system is stabilized.
