PURPOSE: A guide groove forming device is provided to fractional error in movement and to enhance productivity by forming two guide grooves on the same straight line. CONSTITUTION: A guide groove forming device comprises a power transmitting wheel(10) having a ring(11) on the outer circumference to rotate horizontally in face-to-face contact with the inner face of a grinder wheel(3) rotating vertically; a rotating shaft having a thread, fixing the power transmitting wheel on the upper end, having a connecting groove on the inner circumference and having a fixing bolt fixed on the outer circumference; a tool unit(40) having an insertion bar(41) fixed on the lower central end of the rotating shaft by a fixing bolt(33) and a round grinding wheel(42) on the lower end; a housing(50) having a bearing to smoothly rotate the tool unit, the rotating shaft and the power transmitting wheel; and a holder unit(20) consisting of a pair of holding pieces and fixing the housing on a plate(4) of a grinder by fastening with a bolt(21). Guide grooves are simultaneously formed on both inner sides of a rail. Therefore, precise processing is realized and productivity is enhanced.
