PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information database system, in which a generalized schema can unitarily manage even a merchandise group, in which described items of merchandise information are different. SOLUTION: A merchandise structure, which is a combination of item names, is defined in each merchandise group described with a combination of the same items; a merchandise structure table where respective merchandise structures of a plurality of merchandise groups are described is prepared; and the information of various pieces of merchandise can unitarily be handled by recording actual merchandise data in a merchandise specification table that carries one set of three items that are a merchandise number, an item name and its value as the data of one line and managing the actual merchandise data, regardless of a merchandise structure. |
