A mechanism for mounting in a cabinet or the like for supporting and guiding a main plate and an auxiliary plate for movement between retracted rearward positions in the cabinet and extended forward positions outside the cabinet. The mechanism includes telescopic guide means for guiding the outermost plate into and out of the cabinet and also includes mechanism for lifting the inner plate vertically in the cabinet so the outer plate will slide underneath the inner plate. When the plates are in extended position, the inner plate moves downwardly so as to be co-planar with the outer plate.
