ULTRASONIC VORTEX FLOWMETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix a sound absorbing member absorbing reflected wave in an ultrasonic wave propagation path. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic vortex flowmeter 10 is provided with a flowmeter main body 14 having a flow passage 12 allowing flow of fluid to be measured and a vortex generator 16 arranged inside the flow passage 12 in the flowmeter main body 14. In the upper and lower ends of the vortex generator 16, holding members 38 and 40 holding transmitting ultrasonic sensors 30 and 32 and receiving ultrasonic sensors 30 and 36 are arranged. A cylindrically formed sound absorbing member 43 and a ring-shaped clamping member 44 clamping both ends of the sound absorbing member 43 are installed in both ends of passages 18 and 20. The sound absorbing member 43 is housed in a recess part 45 and inserted into the passages 18 and 20 so as not to protrude, and both of upper and lower ends of the sound absorbing member 43 are clamped by means of the clamping member 44, so that the sound absorbing member is prevented from coming off while a temperature limitation of high-temperature liquid can be removed.
