The threaded sleeve (2) has a self-cutting outside edge and once installed is splayed out on the flange collar (6) for forcible and/or positive joining to the door panel (20). The collar is slotted out (8) into the shaft of the sleeve which in turn is slotted out (7) at its free end. Preferably the sleeve has two or four diametrically opposed slots at both ends. There are two splay arms at the flange-free end, the sleeve being splayed at both ends. The inside thread of the sleeve (2) is of specified DIN rating and the splay arms are thrust into the door panel and so pressed together until finally spread apart by the incoming threaded pin (3).
