PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas supply device for a fuel cell having high controllability, not needing much power and capable of carrying out draining of produced water with little power. SOLUTION: This gas supply device GS for a fuel cell is provided with a vacuum pump (gas suction means) 24 for sucking the air A supplied to the fuel cell 1 downstream the fuel cell 1 and a negative pressure control valve (pressure control means) 23 for controlling the pressure of the supply air A upstream the fuel cell 1. The negative pressure control valve 23 is controlled according to the target power generation amount of the fuel cell 1. In addition, the negative pressure control valve 23 is so controlled as to lower the pressure of the supply gas A when the cell voltage of the fuel cell 1 becomes lower than predetermined.
