INK CARTRIDGE OF PRINTER

PURPOSE: An ink cartridge of a printer is provided to have simple electric connecting structure of mounting an ink cartridge to an ink injection unit, and to provide the characteristic data of ink in the cartridge to a controller of a printer. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical ink cartridge(20) is inserted into an ink injection unit of a printer. A memory module(40) and a cartridge terminal unit(30) are prepared on the ink cartridge. The cartridge terminal unit has plural exposing terminals(31) and inner signal lines(32) for connecting the exposing terminals with the memory module. The exposing terminals are electrically connected with terminals of a connection terminal unit(51) on the ink injection unit. The inner signal lines are connected with the memory module to be electrically separated from non-corresponding other exposing terminals. The memory module is connected with a controller(60) when a user mounts an inlet portion(21) of the ink cartridge toward the ink injection unit. The controller reads data out of the memory module through a contact terminal(52) and the exposing terminal if the ink cartridge is inserted into the ink injection unit. Thereby, the proper printing conditions of ink are set.
