PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery having high capacity and a reduced charging time. SOLUTION: This binder composition for a lithium ion secondary battery electrode contains a cellulose ether compound, rubber particles and water. The electrode is obtained by using the binder composition for the lithium ion secondary battery electrode characterized in that the average polymerization degree of the cellulose ether compound is 1,500 to 3,000, and the product of the average polymerization degree and the etherification degree of the cellulose ether compound is 750 to 2,000, and the lithium ion secondary battery provided with the electrode is manufactured. |
