The present invention encompasses an absorbent article for absorbing liquid, typically body liquid, with a loading indicator (5), said article comprising a dark topsheet (3) having an L Hunter value of less than 60, preferably being black, an underlying layer (4) comprising a light layer having an L Hunter value of 60 or more and a backsheet (6), all layers being coextensive to hav e a common peripheral edge. By this execution the light layer is noticeable along the peripheral edge of the article, thereby providing said loading indicator by changing colour to the colour of the absorbed liquid. |
