PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which has a function of correcting the tilt of read image data and which can enhance the efficient of tilt correction by simply and efficiently obtaining a tilt correction amount. SOLUTION: An image overlapping section 708 overlaps image data of an original or corrected image data whose tilt is corrected by a tilt correction section 703 and a reference graphic being the reference of tilt correction selected by a reference graphic selection section 706 and whose condition is set by a reference graphic setting section 707 to generate overlapped image data, and an output section 712 outputs the overlapped image data. By overlapping the reference graphic and the image after the tilt correction (or before the tilt correction) and outputting the result as above, the tilt correction amount can be simply and efficiently obtained.
