<p>The motor and reducing gear consists of a number of electric motors (23,24) arranged in a ring around a single toothed ring (27). Each motor has a drive pinion (30) engaging the teeth of the single toothed ring. The assemblies lies in a casing (34) which is divided into two by a separation plate (40). The lower central space accommodates the ring, and the upper central space accommodates the electric motors. The space defined within the ring of electric motors houses the control module (38) for the motors. The motors may be mounted by attachment to the separation plate (40) whilst the control module is mounted on a base plate (39) which is in turn fastened to the separation plate.</p> |
