The collapsible support comprises a central hollow tube (1) with a sleeve (2) welded into its lower end. At least three threaded holes to accommodate spikes (4) are equally spaced around the central tube and radially penetrate the tube and sleeve. The spikes on their fastening side each have a thread engaging in one of the threaded holes, and upon this thread is also fitted a knurled nut which acts as a lock nut to fix the spikes on the tube. A nut (3) is welded onto the tube at the upper end to accommodate a locking screw (5).
