MAC ADDRESS NOTICE SYSTEM IN MPOA SYSTEM, AND MOPA SERVER THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MAC address notice system, that allows an MPS (MPOA server; multi-protocol over ATM server) 662 on an output router to select a source MAC address of MAC header information for a MAC address of an MPS node at a preceding hop when the MPS 662 transmits a MPOA Cache Imposition Request packet to an MPC (MPOA Client). SOLUTION: Each MPS is an ATM network interface of its own node with respect to an NHRP Resolution Request packet and adds a MAC address of an ATM network interface at succeeding hop.
