A propylene homopolymer, characterized in that a melt tension (MT), a Z average molecular weight (Mz) and a melt index (MI) (g/10 min) thereof satisfy a specific relationship, and in the temperature rising fractional chromatography a difference between the temperatures corresponding to given elutions and a temperature corresponding to the maximum elution satisfy a specific relationship; and a propylene copolymer, characterized in that it contains a specific a-olefin as a comonomer in a specific range of content, and a melt tension (MT), a Z average molecular weight (Mz) and a melt index (MI) (g/10 min) thereof satisfy a specific relationship. The propylene homopolymer and the propylene copolymer have physical properties which are same as or superior to those of a conventional propylene based polymer and also can be controlled with respect to their melt tension, and thus is suitable for foam molding, sheet molding, blow molding and the like. Further, they are excellent in melt processing characteristics, molding stability and recyclability, and thus can be suitably used in a molding method wherein a conventional propylene based polymer is frequently difficult to be used, for example, in big blow molding and extrusion foam molding.
|
