PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce man-hours for producing a transformer as compared to the conventional transformer. SOLUTION: An outer winding wire 25 is composed of a transitional conductor, which is configured by transiting parallel laminated plural element wire conductors, so as to successively change respective laminating positions in the lengthwise direction and winding an insulating strip around the outer periphery at intervals between turns, an inner winding wire 9 and the outer winding wire 25 are partitioned by a cooling medium guide 22 which consists of an insulating cylinder, and a cooling medium is forcedly fed to the inside of the cooling medium guide 22.
