A unifacial sliding clutch has a rotor element (2), a fixed magnetic body (6) and a pot-shaped armature element (28) sliding on bearings. A cylinder-sleeve-shaped area (28B) of the armature element has a narrow radial air gap and stretches along an outer sleeve surface (12) of the magnetic body. Between the armature element and a friction surface (30) on the rotor element there is an operating air gap (S) capable of being bypassed.
