PURPOSE: A process of preparing a health beverage(Palbo tea) containing pumpkin by extracting 8 kinds of crude drugs and a pumpkin is provided. Whereby, the product has an effect on nourishing the blood, aiding virility and improving spirits and can be effectively used for men and women at the same time. CONSTITUTION: About 3 to 7kg pumpkin and 50g ginseng, Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, Hoelen, Glycyrrhizae radix, Paeoniae Radix, Rehmanniae radix, Cnidii Rhizoma and Angelica gigas respectively are pretreated and then heated with 2L water at 80 to 100deg.C for 3 hr. In the pretreatment, the ginseng whose head part is removed is cut to 5 to 10mm, 30 to 50g Rehmanniae radix is boiled in 1L unrefined rice wine(Korean name, makkolli) for 3 hr or more, Paeoniae Radix is slightly roasted, Cnidii Rhizoma is soaked in purified water to remove essential oil and Angelica gigas is washed with water to remove impurities.
