The invention relates to a process for lowering the isotherm of carbon dioxid condensation and to an installation for applying said process in order to produce power: electric power and mechanical work. According to the invention, the process consists in the following steps : burning the fossil fuel in O2/CO2 recirculated atmosphere, expanding the gases afterwards, heat recovering, mechanically compressing the vapours by stages with intermittent cooling, condensing, removing the products and cryogenically separating the air, the lowering of the CO2 condensation isotherm taking place by coupling in a quasi-composite multistage cycle with a refrigerating adsorbtion cycle. According to the invention, the installation for applying the process comprises a combustion chamber (1) a high pressure gas turbine (15), a low pressure gas turbine (17), a plurality of thermal recovering apparatus of low, average and high temperature (18, 20, 21 and 25 ), a mechanical stage compression unit, with intermittent cooling of the vapours (26), a cryogenic unit for separating the air by means of control cocks (28 and 29) and an absorbtion refrigerating or hybrid installation.
