The housing has a first part (2) forming a base support for the equipment container and a second part (3) having a cavity for batteries, with a wall separating the two parts. An opening (7) in the wall is used to route cable connections. The height of the part (2) forming the base is greater than the height of the part (3) housing the batteries, the latter being between 0.4 to 0.5 meters. The base is made from a mixture of sand, cement and mineral fiber. The battery container part has inward sloping walls to facilitate the placing and removal of the batteries. The base part has outward sloping walls which increase its stability and facilitate removal from the mold. The preferred material mixture for molding is in percentage terms: cement 45; sand 42; water 11; thinner 0.2; plasticiser 0.04; fibers 0.9.
