PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interrupting device capable of rotating an interrupting means at the small angle of operation of an operating means. SOLUTION: In this interrupting device 10, a four step link mechanism is constituted by a gate lever 24, an operation lever 40, a link plate 50 and a supporting plate 14. The motion of the operation lever 40 is controlled by the link plate 50 and the gate lever 24 so that when the operation lever 40 is turned, the operation lever 40 is rotated to an almost opposite direction to the turning direction around a linking shaft 32. Therefore, the revolution angle of the operation lever 40 around a linking shaft 46 is made smaller than the turning angle of the gate lever 24 around a supporting shaft 22.
