PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by integrating a fingerprint scanner with a push-button type switch and setting a fingerprint recognition device to be operated, only when fingerprint recognition is required, and to reduce psychological resistance of a subject for the fingerprint recognition. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the fingerprint scanner 2 for taking fingerprint data, the push-button type switch 3 working together with the fingerprint scanner, a fingerprint recognizing means 6 for processing the fingerprint data 7 taken by the fingerprint scanner, and a power source 5 for operating the fingerprint scanner and the fingerprint recognizing means by being switched to the on-state, when a finger 4 whose fingerprint is to be collected pushes the push-button type switch via the fingerprint scanner. |
