PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the internal pressure rise of a battery set, when uniformly recharging each electric cell of the battery set. SOLUTION: This method of recharging a battery set includes a plurality of single batteries and a first process of charging each single battery at first rate by first current, until the internal pressure of at least one electric cell out of a plurality of electric cells beings to rise, and a second process of recharging or discharging each electric cell at a second rate which is lower than the first rate by second current lower than the first current. When recharging each electric cell uniformly in a battery set, where a plurality of single batteries are combined, it is recharged with a fixed current, until the surviving capacity (SOC) of the battery becomes 100%, and then it is recharged with a current at low rate.
