PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm collection/device control communication system that can efficiently route alarm data and control data without performing setting of an address at installation of a communication terminal and without provision of a table for address management by each communication terminal. SOLUTION: A repeater communication unit 3 has a concentrated direction in which alarm data or the like from repeater communication units in a plurality of directions toward a collective management room are concentrated and a routing direction in which control data or the like from a single direction making the centralized management room as an object are transmitted to the repeater communication units. In the concentrated direction, input port numbers of the repeater communication units passed sequentially through from an input port number of a repeater communication unit next to the first repeater communication unit are stored and sent up to the centralized management room. In the routing direction, the arrangement of the port numbers denoting the location of a desired repeater communication unit is transmitted and when an output port is discriminated, a port number at the head of received data used when the output port is discriminated is deleted and the resulting data are transmitted to the succeeding repeater communication unit.
