摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head supporting device capable of accurately facing a beam spot and a core area to each other in a disk even when the tracking direction of a laser beam to follow the disk is set in a perpendicular direction. SOLUTION: A movable supporting part 6 is connected with a fixed supporting part 11 through leaf springs 10 and 10. When a tracking direction is set in a perpendicular direction, the leaf spring 10 is deformed by the gravity of a magnetic head 5, suspension 7 or the like and, thus, the magnetic head 5 is moved downward in the perpendicular direction. In addition, an objective lens 9 also receives gravity in the tracking direction, and thus the objective lens 9 is moved downward in the perpendicular direction by the gravity of the objective lens 9, the objective lens holder or the like. The length and the thickness of the leaf spring 10 is designed such that the moving displacement amount of the magnetic head 5 caused by the deformation of the leaf spring 10, and the moving displacement amount of the objective lens 9 roughly coincide with each other. Thus, the objective lens 9 and the magnetic head core 8 are caused to accurately face each other.
