PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive filter with a small circuit scale and a small power consumption. SOLUTION: The adaptive filter has taps 100, 200 that generate delay data resulting from delaying input data and calculate estimate data on the basis of the delay data and a tap coefficient, an adder 300 that sums the estimate data calculated at each tap to estimate the entire estimate data, an error quantity calculation section 400 that generates error data on the basis of the entire estimate data, a coefficient calculation circuit provided to a plurality of taps that sequentially selects the delay data corresponding to the taps 100, 200 to sequentially calculate the tap coefficient by each delay circuit on the basis of the selected delay data and error data, and a tap coefficient selection section 600 that sequentially transmits the tap coefficient to a tap corresponding to the tap coefficient calculated by the coefficient calculation circuit.
