<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically verify a driver's license, whether the license is of the type having a watermark on the front (having a watermark clearly visible from the front but not from the back) or the type having a watermark on the back. SOLUTION: A driver's license photographing part 200 is adapted to be capable of photographing the watermark of a driver's license as seen from both the front and back. A driver's license photographing control part 101 directs the photographing part 200 to photograph the watermark as seen from the front, and a verification part 103 verifies the license according to the photographic result. In this case, if the license is the proper one of the type having a watermark on the back, it is determined to be a forged license. Once it is determined to be a forged one, the control part 101 directs the photographic part 200 to photograph the watermark as seen from the back, and the verification part 103 verifies the license according to this photographic result. The license of the proper type having a watermark on the back is thus verified.</p> |
