PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release lock of a cartridge chamber, without changing the use state display of a spool after VEI processing. SOLUTION: A driving member 45 is engaged with the spool of a film cartridge and drives it. A driving gear 41 transmits the rotation of a feeding motor to the driving member 45. The driving gear 41 and the driving member 45 are engaged by an engaging part 41a and a part which is to be engaged 50a respectively provided. When rotation of the feeding motor is switched over after the completion of the VEI processing, the driving gear 41 starts rotating so that locking of the cartridge chamber is released. When the driving gear 41 is rotated by a fixed angle less than one rotation, engagement is started, so that the driving member 45 starts rotating with a time delay. The driving member 45 is freely turnably supported on the upper face of the cartridge chamber 5, so that the driving member 45 and the driving gear 41 maintain a non- contact state during a delay period, while the driving gear 41 is supported freely turnably by a top board 61 and also supported by a pressing plate 48 from a lower side.
