PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve portability and operability of a camera by elongating and contracting an extending knob. SOLUTION: A projection 1a and a groove part 1b are provided at the outer periphery part of a knob body 1, and a projection 1c having inclined surfaces 1c' and 1c" at both ends is formed, to be projected slightly on the base of the groove part 1b. By providing a projection 2a, which can be inserted and fit in the groove part 1b of the body 1 at the inner end of an outer barrel 2 and a projected line part 2b which can slide in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the body 1 on the inner periphery surface thereof; the outer barrel 2 is assembled to be attached to/detached from the main body 1; and a knob rubber 3 equipped with a receiving plate 4 is attached thereto like a cover. The plate 4 of the rubber 3 abuts on the outer end face 1d of the body 1 at a housing position and an inner end face 2a' of the projection 2a of the outer barrel 2 abuts on inner end face of a projection 1a of the body 1 at a pull-out position. Then, the knob is click-stopped due to friction obtained, by the sliding of the ridgeline of the end face 2a' of the projection 2a of the outer barrel 2 which is in contact with either inclined surface 1c' of the projection 1c of the body 1 and the sliding of the ridgeline of an outer end face 2a" of the projection 2a of the outer barrel 2, in contact with the other inclined surface 1c" of the projection 1c of the body 1.
