PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a power consumption without reducing a visual effect in a light emitting watch which keeps a light emitting performance by a light emitting element and which performs a 24-hour blinking operation. SOLUTION: The light emitting watch keeps an on-the-hour performance by the light emitting operation of LEDs L1 to L54 installed at a watch body 3, and it can perform the 24-hour blinking operation by the LEDs L49, L50. A mode changeover switch 2 which can select a mode to keep the on-the-hour performance and a mode to perform only the 24-hour blinking operation is installed. A control circuit which controls the pulse width of driving pulses of the LEDs L49, L50 according to its mode selection is installed. When the mode to keep the on-the-hour performance and to perform the 24-hour blinking operation is selected, and the pulse width of the driving pulses is made smaller than that in the 24-hour blinking operation. Thereby, the power consumption is suppressed without reducing the visual effect. When two or more light emitting elements which are turned on apparently simultaneously are time-division- driven, the power consumption is suppressed without reducing the visual effect.
