PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide with simple constitution a sealing structure member for a carbonizing oven (or a fumigation furnace) which can be stably used over a long period. SOLUTION: A hollow square tube member for air cooling interposed so as to be like frame between an opening of the carbonizing oven (or the fumigation furnace) and a sealing member 13 for sealing all faces of the opening, and an air-cooling blower 20 for supplying cooling air inside the square tube member for air-cooling are provided. The cooling air is successively supplied from the air-cooling blower 20 into the square tube member for air cooling, and this cooling air can be discharged from an air outlet provided to the square tube member for air-cooling. Since an inside of the oven can be shut out from an outside air, excellent effects in operation can be obtained such that offensive odor, poisonous gas, combustible gas and the like can be prevented from leaking outside the oven, thermal energy can be effective utilized, safe operation in the oven can be realized, and thermal deterioration in a seal member can be prevented to reduce the number of troublesome changing works of the seal members.
