Production of D-pantothenic acid (I) by fermenting coryneform bacteria in which the sequence (pfkAn) encoding phosphofructokinase (PFK; EC 2.7.1.11) is strengthened, especially overexpressed. An Independent claim is also included for coryneform bacteria in which pfkAn has been strengthened, especially overexpressed.
