PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion with a good stability, an ink for jet recording comprising the dispersion, which has excellent ink jetting stability, light resistance and clear color tone, and a printed imaging method using the ink and an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: This pigment dispersion comprises at least a pigment, a dispersant and water. The dispersant is a compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein R is hydrogen, a 1-15C alkyl group, a phenyl group or a naphthyl group; m is an integer of 1-100; and n is an integer of 2-20). The dispersion is blended with additives to form an ink jet recording ink. The ink is used for forming printed images by means of an ink jet printer. |
