PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device capable of stopping the conveying of a conveyed article without damaging the same. SOLUTION: This conveying device comprises a duct 2 having a conveying passage for can barrels C (conveyed articles) inside, and having exhaust holes 3 for exhausting the internal gas on plural longitudinal parts, a gas sending means for sending the gas in the direction oblique to the conveying direction of the can barrel C, into the duct 2 from plural longitudinal parts of the duct 2, and an opening and closing means 5 for opening and closing the exhaust holes 3 of the duct 2.
