PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation thermometer with a blocking member capable of miniaturizing a measuring instrument body with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A cap 4 is laterally slidably mounted on the measuring instrument body 1. Accordingly, when a temperature measurement is performed, the cap 4 is slid to the right to an opening position to open a measuring opening 3, and when the temperature measurement is ended, the cap 4 is slid to the left to a blocking position to block up the measuring opening 3.
