The present invention relates to the use of lysozyme dimer for rendering antibiotic-resistant microbes antibiotic-sensitive and to the use of lysozyme dimer as an active ingredient in the manufacture of a pharmaceutical composition for adminstration to a recipient suffering from an antibiotic-resistant microbial infection for restoring the recipient's susceptibility towards antibiotic treatment, wherein the microbes are resistant to one or more antibiotics and wherein susceptibility toward at least one antibiotic is restored. <IMAGE>
