PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder with no installation space required for an air tank having additional improved responsiveness to a fluctuation of pressure. SOLUTION: A cylindrical external peripheral member 7 is provided in the external periphery of a cylindrical cylinder member 2. Both ends of the cylinder member 2 and the external peripheral member 7 are placed between an upper flange 8 and a lower flange 9. In this way, an air tank 11 is formed. An air pressure chamber 12 is formed by a piston 3 slidably provided in the inside of the cylinder member 2 and the lower flange 9. One end of a rod 4 is provided to be fixed to the piston 3, the other end is connected to a movable member. The air tank 11 and the air pressure chamber 12 are connected by an air pressure path 13. An air pressure from an air pressure source is connected to a connection port 13a, the air pressure is supplied to the air tank 11 and the air pressure chamber 12.
