PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve for a variable displacement compressor capable of reflecting a discharge pressure on a valve opening without using electric constitution besides no control is effected such that a discharge pressure is excessively increased. SOLUTION: A control valve CV positions a valve element 41 such that discharge capacity of a variable displacement compressor is varied to the side where a fluctuation of the discharge pressure Pd is eliminated. In addition to the discharge pressure Pd, a crank pressure Pc is related to positioning of the valve element 41. Constitution is effected such that the displacement direction of the valve element 41 due to the increase of the discharge pressure Pd is adjusted in a manner to be equal to the displacement direction of the valve element 41 due to the increase of the crank pressure Pc.
