Valve has a housing with a fluid opening (7) that can be blocked using an obturator that is integral with an actuator (10). The latter's operation is temperature dependent. The device comprises a thermostat element (22) made with dilatable material situated in the fluid flow crossing the housing. If the actuator or its command mechanism fails then the dilatable element serves to block the passage. The obturator (9) is also of a dilatable material and contains a heating element (13) connected to a command element.
