METHOD FOR PRODUCING COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required to form each colored layer and to enhance the productivity when a color filter is manufactured by applying each of coloring inks on a substrate with a black matrix by an ink jet system. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a color filter in which ink jet heads each with many orifices are used and coloring ink is imparted from orifices to the top of a substrate while moving the substrate relatively to the ink jet heads to patternwise color a specified part of the substrate, ink jet heads in which plural orifices 2 are faced to one pixel to be colored are used. The time required to form each colored layer can be shortened without increasing frequency for ejecting mist of coloring ink and productivity can be enhanced.
