PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture canned goods packed in a sterilized condition under a negative pressure and excellent in hammering testability, by a manufacturing method in which the packing of contents can be achieved in a high degree of the sterilized condition by bringing a can lid into close contact with a can body to secure sterility in a space having high cleanness before the can body packed with the contents reaches a seamer main body and in which the canned goods can be obtained by packing the contents at normal temperatures under the negative pressure. SOLUTION: Before a can body c packed with contents at normal temperatures reaches a seamer main body 5, gas in a head space in the can body is replaced with a high-temperature replacing fluid, and a lid e is put on the can body c. By performing the pressure contact of the lid put on the can body with the can body with the aid of a lid fitting and pressure contact turret 3, the high-temperature replacing fluid is cooled, so that the interior of the can body is thereby cooled, and the lid is brought into close contact with the can body. Accordingly, a gas replacing/lid putting step can be separated from a seaming step at the seamer main body.
