PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil accumulated in a floor face of a rocker arm chamber from being sucked all at one into a combustion chamber of a cylinder through an intake port with a valve opened. SOLUTION: This four cycle engine has a weir 4 for preventing the oil accumulated in the floor face 2a from flowing in all 1at once is formed around the air-fuel mixture gas intake part 3 bored in the floor face 3a of the rocker arm chamber 2 provided above the cylinder of the four cycle engine and provided with rocker arms 1 and 1' driving opening and closing of an intake valve and an exhaust valve. A groove 4a is formed in a part of the weir 4 for allowing the oil accumulated in the floor face 2a of the rocker arm chamber 2 to flow in the intake part 3 little by little. A groove 7 is also formed from the floor face 2a of the rocker arm chamber 2 to a push rod chamber 6' provided with a push rod 5' driving the rocker arm 1' for allowing the oil accumulated in the floor face 2a to flow into the push rod chamber 6'.
