PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release agent coating roller which can not only supply a release agent stably for a long period, but also prevent the release agent from leaking during use and storage. SOLUTION: This roller 12 is constituted in the multi-layered structure of a core bar 21, a cylindrical base material 22 made of a ceramics, a felt layer 23, and a surface layer 25 of a porous film, and the internal surface of the hole of the base material 22 and the core bar 21 are partially adhered with an adhesion layer 20 and an area 19 where the adhesion layer 20 is absent is left. As the temperature rises owing to fixing heat during the use, the air in the roller 12 expands, but can be discharged from the internal surface of the hole of the base material 22 in the area 19. Consequently, the internal pressure does not rise so much and no releasing oil leaks out.
