MULTILAYER-STRUCTURED STYRENE COPOLYMER, MOLDED ARTICLE USING THE SAME, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR MULTILAYER- STRUCTURED STYRENE COPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multilayer-structured styrene copolymer which can give a composition excellent in weatherability; to provide a molded article using the same; and production methods for them. SOLUTION: This copolymer has three layers: (A) the core consisting of a copolymer of a monofunctional monomer containing at least 60 mass% styrene and a multifunctional monomer in a ratio to the monofunctional monomer of 0.5 mol% or higher but not higher than 10 mol% and having an average particle size of 0.2μm or higher but not higher than 1.3μm; (B) the intermediate layer consisting of a copolymer of an alkyl (meth)acrylate having a 1-8C alkyl group and a multifunctional monomer in a ratio to the alkyl (meth)acrylate of 0.1 mol% or higher but not higher than 2 mol% and having an average peripheral particle size of 0.4μm or higher but not higher than 2μm; and (C) the outermost layer consisting of polystyrene or a styrene-vinyl cyanide copolymer. A molded item obtained by using the copolymer and a production method for the copolymer are also provided.
