PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge treatment method whereby organic contaminants, such as endocrine disrupters, contained in a sludge can be effectively removed from the sludge by extraction to make the sludge harmless. SOLUTION: After sludge 2 containing organic contaminants is subjected to oxidation treatment, a hydrophilic solvent 3 is added to extract the contaminants with the solvent; then, the solvent is separated from the sludge.
