PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a usable care assisting tool to be easily moved, operated easily by anyone, capable of reducing a burden on a caregiver. SOLUTION: First, a lift roll 26 applied to the rear of the knees of a care- given person 100 is started to swing in a circular arc, and the legs 102 of the care-given person 100 are lifted up. Then, as the lift roll 26 is raised/moved up sideways, the body of the care-given person 100 in the part from the lumbar region 104 to the buttocks 106 is lifted up. This lifted condition is maintained by a ratchet mechanism, and in this condition, diaper replacement, etc., is performed by a caregiver.
