PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for uniformly and sufficiently cleaning and polishing a cylindrical body, which is safe because an operator need not enter the inside of a furnace with the cylindrical body. SOLUTION: The device main body 1 provided with a motor 8 is supported by the trucks 3 and 5 attached to the main body through expanding and contracting mechanisms 2 and 4 with the length adjustable and movable in the axial direction of the cylindrical body 6 and furnished with a brush 10 to be rotated around a horizontal shaft 8a by the motor 8.
