PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact shot peening machine that can be installed in a relatively small space. SOLUTION: This shot peening machine is provided with a cabinet 3 constituting a grin ding/polishing/cleaning chamber 2 with a treated article in-and-out opening 1 at the front face; an opening/closing door 4 liftably disposed at the front face of the cabinet 3 to open/close the opening 1; a shot storage tank 6 disposed directly below the cabinet 3 to temporarily store the shot falling from the cabinet 3; and a shot transporting means 7 for transporting the shot in the shot storage tank 6 to a nozzle 5 by compressed air.
