PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner capable of efficiently capturing sucked dust by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A connecting hole 25 approximately airtightly connected opposingly to the intake of the motor-driven blower 6 open upward in an upper surface is open and formed in a case body 2 with a mounting lower recessed part 38 in the front. A lid body 3 with a mounting upper recessed part 59 to cover both the mounting recessed part 38 from above and the upper part of the case body 2 in such a way as to be opened is rotatably provided for the case body 2. A dust collecting part 9 of which the lower edge part and upper edge part are each engaged with the mounting lower recessed part 38 and the mounting upper recessed part 59 is detachably and integrally sandwiched, fixed, and mounted between the mounting lower recessed part 38 and the mounting upper recessed part 59. Both a suction opening 103 connected to the suction part of the lid body 3 and an air collecting opening 106 to flow out inside air via a first filter body 114 are provided for the upper part of the dust collecting part 9. The lid body 3 is provided with a sucked air path 66 to connect the air collecting opening 106 to the connecting hole 25. It is possible to easily form connection by a simple constitution.
