APPARATUS FOR MANAGING NO. 7 ST IN MSC AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for managing a No. 7 ST(Signaling Terminal) in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) and a method therefor are provided to sense the abnormality of a hardware associated with the No. 7 ST and manage the state of the No. 7 ST when the hardware associated with the No. 7 ST is abnormal for efficiently managing the No. 7 ST. CONSTITUTION: An ASP(Access Switching subsystem Processor)(71) has an internal network management unit(72) for performing the activation/inactivation of an SSHG(Signaling Subsystem message Handling Group)(74) and the activation of SSFAs(Signaling Subsystem level 2 Function board Assemblies)(77-80) and managing an internal network. The ASP(71) has an ST management unit(73) for processing the variable/unavailable of an ST and informing the variable/unavailable of the ST to a signaling link management block. The SSHG(74) has an SSHP0(Signaling System message Handling Processor 0)(75) and an SSHP1(76) for connecting to the ASP(71), processing a signaling message by a load sharing type, and transmitting the signaling message to the SSFA0(77) to the SSFA3(80) having four STs(81-96).
